Job Description

As an Extreme Ultraviolet Software Technical Support Engineer, you are an essential part of a new site start-up Customer Support team for TSMC as they build their first high tech fab just north of Phoenix, Arizona. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise to the Fab Support team and Customer during machine issue escalations, complex repair execution, and sequence preparation. You will drive issue resolution and provides structural follow-up in order to improve ASML procedures and ways of working at local sites. You will be responsible for the Software (SW) on both the Scanner and Source computer and operating systems. You will provide monitoring of SW configuration and compliance, as well as in-fab and remote support for critical SW upgrades and escalations. You will work closely with the DUV SW team, as well as the other Scanner competencies and Applications team.

Role and responsibilities

  • Efficiently solve machine issues by collaborating with local support teams, the customer, and global support groups.
  • Provide flexible in-fab support as needed for new, specialized, or complex repair actions with first-time right attitude.
  • Support the Fab and Planning team in complex service action sequence creation and review.
  • Perform data analysis and proactive monitoring to prevent unscheduled downs.
  • Develop and implement best-known-methods to drive optimized shift-to-shift performance.
  • Improve service mix and structural issue documentation including initiation, review, and improvement rollout.
  • Present data-driven summaries to the customer, including problem statement, root cause, and solution with timeline.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree required. Or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience using computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

Other information

  • Position requires international travel for training purposes to learn the technical, operational, skills.
  • Position requires up to 10% travel, and the willingness to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license and passport required.
  • Ability to travel in US and internationally.

Role within OfficeResponsibilities:

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • May require travel dependent on business needs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with applicants who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
