The standard work schedule will be Monday - Friday 8:30am - 7:00pm during the Academic Year. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
7:00am - 6:00pm during the Summer Months
This position offers remote work allowing employees a combination of onsite and work from home options. The expected remote work schedule for this position will be based upon the needs of the department.

Job Summary
Provides synchronous and asynchronous instruction to adult education students with emphasis on academic content, career training, and college and career support services. Engages in student assessment and placement, orientation, and other related duties. Evaluates student work to determine progress and provides feedback and coaching. Assists in the development of new courses, curricula, course content, lessons and assessments, and contextualizes course materials to align academic and occupational content. Performs administrative duties related to the instructional program. Participates in required professional learning activities. This position will deliver in-person and virtual instruction with opportunities to conduct work remotely.
Essential Functions
60% - Provides in person and virtual instruction to integrated education and training (IET) students through a variety of modalities by implementing standards-based curriculum and career training courses through synchronous and asynchronous instruction. Content instruction focuses on contextualized career training aligned with business, medical, and/or information technology pathways 15% - Monitors and evaluates student progress to determine opportunities for additional academic and occupational support; provides feedback, coaching, and tutoring in small group and individual settings; documents student progress; develops and prepares instructional and study materials 15% - Conducts student assessments and supports student transition into career training programs; accurately maintains records and adheres to program and Arizona Department of Education (ADE) processes; ensures that ADE-mandated program outcomes are met 10% - Engages in ongoing, job-embedded professional learning activities
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and four years of experience in area of assignment. Some assignments may require an Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree or higher depending on field of instruction.
There is no substitution or equivalency allowable for the High School Diploma or GED.
OR
An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
Special Requirements: Bachelor's degree required Must be able to obtain the Arizona Department of Education Adult Education Certification (which includes AZ DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card).
Desired Qualifications
A. Master's degree B. Three (3) or more years of face-to-face instructional experience in adult basic education, middle school, secondary, or postsecondary setting C. Supervisory or leadership experience in an educational setting D. Experience administering and interpreting standardized assessments E. Experience tracking student outcome data F. Experience using instructional technology
Special Working Conditions
This position will be required to travel between RSC adult education locations to provide career training classes on a rotating schedule. Primary class locations will include: RSC Avondale: 420 N.
