General Summary:
Responsible for optimizing customer processes and conditions while providing education to external Medical & Healthcare customers on how to run Avient materials. Tooling design and flow modeling. Troubleshoot issues that are raised by the customer. May be accountable for or participate in the resolution of customer complaints. May also be responsible for developing a new application or product launch testing plan and procedure, data analysis, and communication of results. Three plus years direct, relevant Medical & Healthcare experience with the ability to operate with little to no direction. Ability to expand beyond Medical/Healthcare for West Coast Application Development support. In this role, you will be a part of a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Essential duties/Qualifications
* Collaborates with commercial team to develop strong relationships with key and target customers by defining critical customer requirements and developing sustainable solutions accordingly.
* Collaborates with cross-functional teams to commercialize new products and supports the business by identifying opportunities for growth.
* Provides technical support to sales, manufacturing, and external customers via needs and feasibility assessment, product recommendations and application guidance.
* Provides training to sales personnel and customers on the function, application, and value proposition of our product technologies.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of various polymers and additives used in various thermoplastic polymer applications.
* Knowledge in various thermoplastics applications such as injection molding and extrusion.
* Formulations expertise in solid masterbatch dispersion chemistries.
* Working knowledge of analytical/physical testing techniques.
* Demonstrated track record of successful product/application development.
* Ability to travel (as needed) to support the evaluations and commercialization of new products.
* Ability to manage and advance several projects simultaneously to maximize business impact.
Preferred
* Proficiency with medical device regulatory standards and biocompatibility evaluations
* Experience in supporting new product development for healthcare/medical device industry
