Job Description
The FCC Analytics Engineer is responsible for managing data pipelines, maintaining Business Intelligence dashboards, and optimizing overall data workflow efficiency within the Financial Crimes Compliance department. Responsibilities also include interacting with cross-functional teams while leading the automation of innovative processes and supporting machine learning models in production.
40 hours a week
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Construct scalable and efficient ETL data pipelines using SQL and Python, leveraging Snowflake and SQL Server. Responsibilities include integrating data from various sources into data warehouses and external tools, supporting both new and existing data products.
  • Design and maintain engaging Power BI dashboards. Ensure these dashboards deliver insightful and actionable data visualizations, with a focus on user-friendliness and regular updates to reflect current data.
  • Develop and upkeep scripts for fine-tuning financial crime models, focusing on performance enhancement and optimization.
  • Uphold coding best practices, including format standardization, naming conventions, and version control. Responsibilities also include reviewing and approving code changes and pull requests in Git.
  • Work closely with data scientists to analyze and source data from strategic sources. Assist in managing Machine Learning operations (MLOps) for actively used production models.
  • Apply quantitative methods, such as predictive modeling and forecasting, to create capabilities that meet business, risk management, and regulatory compliance objectives.
  • Exhibit a proven ability to communicate complex quantitative solutions to senior stakeholders, with a focus on driving business growth and addressing critical challenges.
  • Support the Financial Crimes Group's periodic risk assessments through the analysis of data elements related to potential indicators of customer, product, or geographic risk, evaluating and enhancing the Group's risk rating methodologies, and identifying new quantitative factors that can be incorporated into the risk assessment process.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses for FCC, company leadership and business partners, as needed.

Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
  • Working experience with SQL Databases/Data Warehouses (like Server or Snowflake), including hands-on knowledge of SQL Analytical functions, Views, and Stored Procedures.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Python specifically with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Skilled in designing, building, and deploying Power BI-driven dashboards, with a focus on creating business intelligence solutions.
  • Knowledge of predictive modeling, statistical sampling, optimization, machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.
  • Possess strong analytical thinking and critical reasoning skills with an aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Well versed in git version and code update.
  • Strong technical foundation as a data analyst, excel in Python and SQL, and have passion for analytical thinking and problem solving.
Required Experience:
  • Master's degree in quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Finance) with a minimum of 1 year experience.
Preferred Experience:
  • Master's degree in quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Finance) with a minimum of 1 year experience in financial services.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and a computer printer.
  • Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading or visual inspection of work.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with peers within own department or other departments. Must be able to exchange accurate information.
  • The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • Occasionally drives to other company offices to conduct business.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
