Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 15+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 13 years of job-related experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this PositionThe MUOS User Objective System (MUOS) is US Space Force narrowband military satellite communications system providing voice and data communications for U.S. forces anytime, anywhere. General Dynamics Mission Systems developed the integrated ground segments for MUOS, which provides cell phone-like communications for warfighters on the move.
As the MUOS Chief Engineer, you'll leverage your extensive telecommunications technical expertise to propel our MUOS Design, Development and Sustainment initiatives forward. Your responsibilities will span from defining the technical strategies and driving product innovations to spearheading technical responses to proposals and nurturing client relationships and the next generation of engineers.
