Our team will give you this opportunity, in addition, we provide factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA). We will equip you with tools and a vehicle to perform your job at the highest standard.

How you will do it:

• Apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
• Apprentices will participate in certified trainings through Service Technical Academy that will build skill sets to provide continued opportunities for recognition, monetary rewards and advancement.
• Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues as well as customer needs.
• You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed.
• You will meet attendance requirements for required Union training for first year.
• This is a Bargaining Union Position

What we look for:

Required

• 2 - 3 years apprentice experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Light technical and mechanically inclined.
• Passion/ desire to learn and apply on the job.
• Attention to detail through interpersonal, digital, and written skills.
• Self-starter with ability to eventually work independently.
• Prioritize safety in all forms.
• This position requires a valid driver's license.

Preferred
1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis.

This is a Bargaining Unit Position but is subject to all pre-hiring screening of JCI. With successful performance, JCI may recommend you to the Union Local 469 apprenticeship program, as well as continued employment at JCI. Acceptance by Union Local 469 must occur within 365 days of employment or will result in termination of this position. This is not a guaranty of employment or entering the Union.
