Essential Functions

50% - Develop, cultivate and stewards relationships with organizations, foundations, and individuals to secure philanthropic support for the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation (MCCF) in support of students and college/District programs. Identify new relationships to secure philanthropic gifts. Develop strategies to prospect, cultivate, solicit and grow donors for targeted fundraising efforts including EmpowerED for Student Success campaign, Be A Student's Hero day of giving, Heroes of Education, and other targeted fundraising campaigns identified by the Foundation. Manage a portfolio of 25-50 prospects to develop and execute strategies leading to a solicitation. Contribute to achieving the revenue goals established by the Foundation in collaboration with the Resource Development Council.

30%- Responsible for developing and writing proposals, grants, appeals, impact reports, and solicitation letters and other communications related to philanthropic opportunities. Work with the fiscal team to develop fund agreements, MOU's, fund activity reports, letters of intent, invoices.

10% Serve as liaison with program teams at colleges (Deans, faculty, development officer, etc.) to provide oversight of gift expenditure, compliance, and stewardship. Support efforts to nurture and grow a culture of philanthropy at the colleges and across the District.

10% - Responsible for documenting, updating, monitoring actions in Raiser's Edge to ensure cultivation, solicitations and stewardship actions in accordance with fundraising best practices. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in marketing, communications, non-profit leadership, public service, or related field and four (4) years of experience performing the full range of fundraising/development activities such as providing program coordination and development support in assigned development area.

OR

Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and six (6) years of experience performing the full range of fundraising/development activities such as providing program coordination and development support in assigned development area.

OR

High School Diploma or GED and eight (8) years of experience performing the full range of fundraising/development activities such as providing program coordination and development support in assigned development area.

Desired Qualifications

A. Four or more years of demonstrated success in personally implementing cultivation strategies that use a relationship-building and moves management approach leading to successful major gift solicitations.
B. Four or more years of demonstrated experience working in development/fundraising to develop proposals and securing funding.
C. Four or more years with demonstrated success in fundraising campaigns in higher education.
D. Provides written communication skills through presentations, written proposals or impact reports.

Special Working Conditions

Travel to various campus locations may be required.

May be required to work evenings and weekends.

Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D Driver's License is required; must meet district minimum standards regarding



Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body.

Working Conditions: Work is routinely performed in an indoor, office environment.
