2nd Shift Machine Operator - Slitter

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Machine Operator to be based out of Phoenix, AZ. Tube mill or experience operating machinery preferred.

What you'll do:

• Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the Tectron Safety guidelines.
• Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the Tectron Quality guidelines.
• Comply with all site 5S standards and continuous improvement initiates.
• Work with urgency and a professional attitude to meet customer demand and standards.
• Capable of completing slitter setups, adjustments and change overs.
• Perform quality inspection utilizing quality plan and inspection tools.
• Visually inspect coils for quality and surface defects to ensure quality compliance.
• Read and understand detailed and complex work orders.
• Read blueprints and apply necessary adjustments.
• Recognize slitter problems, help diagnose issues and recommend corrective measures.
• Troubleshoot issues and work collaboratively with technicians and staff.
• Capable of working with the entire slitter crew to complete order runs efficiently.
• Accurately complete required production and labor reporting paperwork.
• Perform high quality work while meeting production efficiencies.
• Read micrometers and calipers.
• All other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring:

• Must be mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot slitter operations.
• Must be able to read tape measures, micrometers and calipers.
• Must be able to visually inspect parts.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints of varying complexity.
• Must be able to add/subtract/multiply/divide.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Must be able to perform job while standing.
• Must be able to lift material/parts from the floor. (max. 40 lbs.)
• Must be willing to participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.

Within 3 months, you'll:

• Complete initial training.
• Be able to complete set ups, adjustments, and change overs
• Recognize slitter problems and take corrective measures
