Job Description

Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, has an immediate need for a Logistics Associate in our Plant facility located in Fresno, TX. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely picking, packing, preparation, and shipping of all customer orders. Additionally, the role is responsible for accurate material handling and cycle count functions.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure proper staging and identification once an order has been completely picked
  • Use various pieces of equipment (manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, reach truck and propane lift) to move pallets
  • Communicate with planning and Logistics Lead order status and request any changes in quantity or substitution of products to expedite shipment schedule
  • Identify items with a quantity discrepancy and promptly communicate with Supervisor and/or Lead
  • Verify quantities, quality of items and proper labeling of products that are being shipped
  • Manage induction for packaging and label preparation/application
  • Examine all packaging and contents of items for quality
  • Verify all packaging information against the packing list and SAP
  • Coordinate with other departments such as production, planning, quality, and maintenance
  • Load and unload containerized from transport trucks, including sampling and obtaining required approval.
  • Apply spill containment and cleanup methods when required.
  • Assist maintenance in preparation of material handling equipment for repair, including the issuance of entry permits, hot work permit and other.
  • Maintain loading and unloading areas free of chemical spills and clean as required.
  • Prepare for shipment Special Products and international shipping orders.
  • Assist in training of new Material Movement personnel.
  • Maintain the 5S cleanliness of the warehouse area
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies
  • Follow all warehouse procedures and policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Details:

  • Plant location: Fresno, TX
  • Work week and shift: 12-hour rotational DuPont shift
  • Compensation: $24 / hour

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of previous plant or warehouse experience
  • 1 year of previous forklift operating experience
  • No immigration sponsorship offered for this role

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
