What you'll do

Advance Microelectronics Product Group is responsible for all MMIC, RFIC, SiP, SoC, and advance packaging development for all of Viasat's business areas! As a member of this team, your work will impact each of Viasat's business unit organizations. We build all RF and Microwave integrated circuits for Viasat satellite and ground equipment as well as phase arrays for government programs. Every microelectronic solutions that we develop are unique and technically challenging. This position will provide the opportunity to solve cutting edge technical challenges. As an Engineer on our team, you will perform Microwave/RF/Mixed-signal System-On-Chip/Package of complex circuits. You will design custom IC circuits on State of the Art IIIV, SiGe, and CMOS processes.


The day-to-day

  • Semiconductor process evaluation
  • IC System Analysis, ID Architecture Trades
  • RF and Microwave and Analog Circuit designs
    • We are given a design, perform a circuit topology trade, perform preliminary design, critical design, and tape out reviews.
    • From there, we generate a test plan, perform probe testing and write final report.

What you'll need

  • 8+ years of professional RFIC and/or MMIC design experience
  • Demonstrate RF and Microwave/Mix-signal circuit design experience.
  • Test/Measurement/Debug capability for RF communications chipsets
  • Proficiency with Cadence and ADS CAD tool environment
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, related field or equivalent years of experience
  • US Citizenship is required

Salary range

$135,900.00 - $236,300.00 / annually
