Our team in Space & Defense Group is looking for an Industrial Engineer to join them. You will report to the Senior Industrial Engineer and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, VA.

To be considered for Industrial Engineer, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field or a bachelor's degree with relative work experience to an Industrial Engineering role. An associate degree with 3 years of related experience.
  • Personal computer experience and working knowledge database and enterprise information systems software as require.
  • Experience with statistical and continuous improvement tools, cost improvements, removing bottlenecks, and root-cause analysis
  • Skills in interacting and communicating at all organizational levels
  • Analytical and project management skills
  • Experience pulling data queries and performing analysis in Microsoft Excel.

As an Industrial Engineer, you will:

  • Work with and maintain confidential information.
  • Perform cost analysis of manufacturing data
  • Aid in cycle time updates
  • Support new opportunities for cost reduction and production efficiency
  • Expected to maintain best practices with a focus to prepare analysis of actual vs. budget hours
  • Recommend general operating practices to improve efficiencies and participate on cross-functional teams.
  • Use understanding of manufacturing business processes to support capacity planning
  • Expected to work in collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Other duties as assigned.
