Position Description


Responsible all program finance operations based out of Sierra Vista, AZ. The successful candidate will provide supervisory oversight of all staff performing duties as part of the program finance function. Responsible for the employment, training, motivation and discipline of assigned employees. Directs, implements, and administers formal aspects of program in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and government regulations (CAS and FAR). Responsible for the development of program-related financial data. Coordinates interdepartmental development of program plans and interfaces with vendors and customers as required.

Develops and performs complex analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned portions of a program or programs. Acts as a key onsite technical expert on financial analysis issues. Coordinates, negotiates and resolves financial compliance issues with governmental agency to ensure accurate interpretation of contract requirements.

Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance or related field and seven to ten years of related experience and management experience. CPA/MBA highly desired. Must have experience in the development of annual budgets (sales and indirect), monthly forecasts and monthly reporting of actual, trending, metrics, and Estimates to Complete; Strong communication, analytical, and interpretation skills are essential. Possess keen ability to interpret and present financial data. Oversight of monthly revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP; management of workforce and coordination required to meet stringent monthly closing deadlines; Assist in monthly review of invoicing and responsible for expediting cash collections; Expert knowledge of GAAP and knowledge of FAR, CAS, DCAA, and SOX compliance. Software proficiency in Excel and Word are necessary. Peoplesoft accounting system experience is highly desired.
Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Engineering/Science and 8 to 10 years of financial and management experience.
